Usage Note
Conducir means 'to drive a vehicle' in Spain, but in most of Latin America manejar is preferred for driving. It also means 'to lead' or 'to conduct' in a broader sense: conducir una investigación = 'to conduct an investigation'. The verb is irregular: present conduzco, preterite conduje. The noun form conducta ('conduct, behavior') shares the same root.
