Usage Note
Circo refers to the traditional travelling big-top circus, but is also used colloquially to describe a chaotic or farcical situation: esto es un circo ('this is a circus'). In ancient Roman history, circo appears in the name Circo Máximo (Circus Maximus). The plural circos is regular.
