Cinematografía refers both to the art and technique of cinematography (camera work) and, more broadly, to the film industry or body of films of a country (la cinematografía española). The person who operates the camera is the director de fotografía or cinematógrafo. Do not confuse with cinematógrafo (the old word for a cinema/movie theatre).
