Usage Note
Chapuza describes sloppy, rushed, or amateurish work — the Spanish equivalent of a 'bodge job'. It is informal and mildly pejorative: Eso es una chapuza means 'That's a real hack job.' The verb chapucear and the agent chapucero share the same root.
