Usage Note
Capitalino is widely used in Latin American Spanish to mean 'from the capital city' or 'characteristic of the capital': la vida capitalina (life in the capital). In Spain it is less common, where a city-specific adjective such as madrileño (from Madrid) is preferred. It can also function as a noun: los capitalinos (the capital's residents).
Examples
"El tráfico capitalino es caótico a diario."
