Usage Note
Bicicleta is sometimes shortened colloquially to bici in informal speech. Bicicleta de montaña is a mountain bike and bicicleta estática is an exercise bike. In most of Spain and Latin America, montar en bicicleta or ir en bici is the standard phrase for cycling.
