Usage Note
Arrogancia denotes an excessive sense of superiority. Its close synonym soberbia overlaps in meaning but adds a stronger moral and religious connotation ('pride' as a cardinal sin); arrogancia is more neutral and describes a manner or tone. The adjective is arrogante. The phrase con arrogancia or de manera arrogante is used adverbially: respondió con arrogancia ('he replied arrogantly').
