Usage Note
Alemán as an adjective or noun means 'German' (un coche alemán, habla alemán). The feminine form is alemana. In the plural the accent is dropped: alemanes (not alemánes) because the stress naturally falls on the penultimate syllable. El alemán also refers to the German language.
Examples
"Mi vecino es alemán y habla tres idiomas."
Natural Translation
My neighbour is German and speaks three languages.
